Moving your website to UnderHost is quick and hassle-free. Follow these simple steps to transfer your site with minimal downtime.
Step 1: Choose a Hosting Plan
- Visit our hosting plans and choose the best option for your needs.
- Complete the order and set up your hosting account.
Step 2: Backup Your Website
- If using cPanel, go to cPanel > Backup and download a full backup.
- For WordPress, use a plugin like UpdraftPlus or manually back up files and databases.
Step 3: Upload Files to Our Server
- Use FTP (FileZilla) or the cPanel File Manager to upload your website files.
- Restore your database via phpMyAdmin if needed.
Step 4: Update Your Domain’s DNS
- Log into your domain registrar (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap).
- Update your nameservers to:
dns1.underhost.com dns2.underhost.com - Wait for DNS propagation (can take up to 24 hours).
Step 5: Test Your Website
- Use a temporary URL or hosts file modification to check the site before full propagation.
- Verify everything is working correctly.
