Transferring your domain to UnderHost is a simple process. This guide will walk you through the steps to move your domain while keeping your website online with minimal downtime.

Step 1: Check Transfer Eligibility

  • Your domain must be at least 60 days old (ICANN policy).
  • Ensure your domain is not locked or set to "Client Transfer Prohibited."
  • Make sure your contact email is up-to-date with your current registrar.

Step 2: Unlock Your Domain and Get the EPP Code

  • Log into your current domain registrar's account.
  • Disable the **Domain Lock** (if enabled).
  • Request the **EPP Code (Authorization Code)**—this is required for transfer.

Step 3: Initiate the Transfer with UnderHost

  • Go to our Domain Transfer Page.
  • Enter your domain name and click **Transfer**.
  • Provide the **EPP Code** when prompted.
  • Complete the checkout process and payment.

Step 4: Approve the Transfer

  • You will receive an email from your current registrar to confirm the transfer.
  • Follow the instructions to approve the transfer.
  • Transfers typically take **5-7 days** to complete.

Step 5: Update Your DNS (If Needed)

    • After the transfer is complete, update your domain’s nameservers to:

ns2.underhost.com
    
  • Allow up to **24 hours** for DNS propagation.
